Video-filtering, MCR, test thoughts!
Omg. I have only just started to notice this trend. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't noticed much suggestive videos in Youtube in the past, until the past few days. You know when you go to the Youtube website, and on its homepage, the very first line of words you are going to read, appropriately placed below the search box and somewhere at your eye-level are 'Videos being watched right now...' and a line of videos below, which keep switching every few seconds.
And some Japanese people are uploading them, and people are watching in the thousands, by the second. Flag those videos, people! How to do it? click on the video, and below it, there are 4 options, the last is 'flag'. and select a reason for flagging. geez. Do you know kids who haven't even started attending school know how to navigate their way around a youtube site? First-hand example? My lil neighbour. She can barely reach for the mouse, but she deftly knows how to type her favourite show in the searchbox, click the start, and the pause button. And the mum says she watches Youtube vids all day. *shudders* These videos will only cause addiction and social ills. and I'm not being paranoid here. What we all know about Youtube is that it's accessible & quick to load. If the people running the site don't clean up these videos, I don't know what to say. Anyway, it won't be soon before long. Linking this with Christian beliefs, stories, theories, hypothesis, whatever you call it, it will only...get worse. It's just a matter of when. The world is, degrading very quickly. lolz. I'm not getting emo, it's just, I see so many things going on around me and the world, and slowly but surely, things are happening as predicted. And as I'm on the news team for my club, I keep a close watch on what's going on with Israel. It will all take place at Israel in the end. Just wait and see. Many many people (Christians) strongly belief things will come to a head in the next few decades or less. and personally, I feel I won't live till 40. Haha, only time (argh, it's so defined) will tell.
Anyway, moving on, I won 2 tickets to My Chemical Romance on 11 December. I'm not fans of them, I think they're like, a 'japanese-band' wannabe. They don't sing, they screech and wail in most of their songs. But I like live music, so I took part in the contest. Who knows, I
may find some good in them after the gig. hee...and I need some action for my upcoming holidays! It seems like I'm always attending concerts with complimentary tickets in my hand, which is good. Lolz, this is the life man. Why pay for concerts when you can get tix for free? Especially if you're not sure whether the performer is good 'live'. And I think concert tickets are always too highly-priced. I'm just a student. Besides, watching from afar is
never good. trust me, if you're not willing to pay for front-row/mosh pit tickets, you might as well buy a concert DVD of that artist. It's like watching a musical through binoculars. -_-. And muscials are meant to be a sensory, not frantic-through-the-looking-glass experience.
and now, on to talking about my exam today!! Arrrrgh! I've learnt that, cramming is so not good! You get all your facts mixed up and you second-guess yourself all the way while answering the questions. Never have I did so shitfully in an exam and know it (cuz I reviewed all my shitty answers, we were allowed to bring the question paper home). However, I shall not dwell on what is past. I shall reflect insightfully on this experience and move on and look ahead. Hey, it's getting published, I can set this reminder in stone, on the net.
I have one week in front of me, till my last paper!!! Hopefully, I won't use 'shitty' to describe my answers for that.
