Deep-night

Except for my new neighbours, I personally am not acquainted with any other people this year who celebrates Deepavali. What else can create a festive mood other than the people next door decorating their territory with candles and coloured sands? Charming.

Saturday night spent prawning in the nearby place for the first time! $28 for 3 hours and I am so proud to say I caught a grand total of ONE PRAWN (it was quite a big one) during that time..... only to have it escape from my net . I was so icky about going near the thing that I swung my rod to my brother when I caught it, only to have him be mad at me and squirming as much as me when faced with that....live thing. DO NOT ASK ME TO UN-HOOK A PRAWN. Let the other brave, experienced souls do it. At the end of the night, the family beside us to the left gave us their bag of prawns, which even consisted of pregnant ones. Check it out:

My verdict? Effing plump and juicy! For real. Prawns never did taste as delicious as this before.
