Road to determination
I FINALLY (after alternate days of tormenting and silent treatment to my mum) made my way to my nearest driving centre today for enrollment! [insert whoop of accomplishment here] >
WOOOOOOOT!
Here's a couple of things to comment:
-The staff were helpful, and pretty to boot.
-The school got crowded at weird intervals! Like, I was there around 1.30pm, and the environment was relatively staid. And then around 2pm, after I stepped out of the briefing room, I saw like, surges of people- the situation was like: passengers who were just getting off a train! Or, crossing a busy junction! It was that mad, indoors, on a weekday. The situation didn't get any better as the day went by.
-I attended my first basic theory class today, it was a sorta interesting 'moral' lecture, where the instructor showed the class numerous graphic newspaper clippings and videos of accidents, and preaching us to remember keywords like 'Considerate', 'Responsible', 'Courtesy'. Bravo.
-I learnt that I can only start taking practical lessons sometime in late August, after I pass my Basic Theory test, the earliest date of which falls on August 25th. This means, I'll have to juggle this 'driving' subject, on top of my University ones. Can you say, "workload??"
To finish off, I got a little workout today, walking about 1.8km, to and fro the train station to the driving centre. Go me!
Tomorrow, I'm going to check out the booksale going on at Expo, organised by Times bookstore:)I always get good bargains there. I may even brag about the goods I got, here.
