Too much food....not
enjoy~~ ^^
I've been on such a (glucose) high today. and I'm not even a junkie or something. It's just that, I've been served food ever so often today. Nothing gets better than this. heh. In the morning, my dad cooked pasta (with powdered Canadian Pizza cheese sprinkled on top, sausages and fried egg. On a Saturday morning! He never cooks fresh pasta in the morning! and on a Saturday (he only cooks meals like that on Sundays)! I thought it was really nice of him. Then I made my way to L's house where I had Acerola Cherry ice balls and some of Mad's fries, where I shared the fats from her lunch. And then had a variety of cocktail homemade fruit drinks, mooncake (tis' the season), dates, and cheesecake! Yum. I love cheese. And lastly, made my way to my mum's friend's restaurant. Their food was really top-notch. Right down to the sauces, the garlic to the kimchi. It was just, an explosion of flavours.
Check it out, 'Authentic Korean food' ok? :)

Without flash...

Inside the entrance

Peeping through the open doorway in a room...

The layout...private rooms on the right, open (but cosy) dining areas on the left

A wider view

The cool ceiling! :)
And now...the food! The appetisers...the dish on the bottom left, the grey cubes, are acorn jellies! It was really good with the chilli-tasting sauce on top. The other side dishes were equally tasty (can't remember what they were though).

We ordered pork meat....to barbeque it of course...

Mum 'cooking' for us!

Two sauces were provided for the meat...u can see it at the bottom of the pic below...the yellow one is sesame oil while the red one is the tasty bean paste!

We were also given raw garlic and green chilli (on my mum's right, your left, in the pic below). SO how u eat the BBQ meat? Dip a slice in the sesame oil or bean paste sauce, place it on a lettuce leaf, and place a garlic slice on top, and green chilli, if you want. Then close the leaf, and bite down! Yup. You'll experience BOOM! a taste like no other. and you'll be craving for more.

After having two lettuces or so, I started on my cold noodle dish, Nengmyun. I had ordered it spicy, but since I don't eat that spicy, the chefs kindly placed the gravy/soup and the chilli sauce in separate bowls. And I trailed and errored to suit the perfect combination taste for moi! Perfect! It was the first time I really enjoyed cold noodles. Usually, it's too spicy or bland (without chilli).

A pancake dish was ordered...contained spring onion and such

My dad dishing it out....

Lastly, we had some more meat...pork belly!

Sizzling....

Bon appetit! Cheers~

This medicinal-tasting alcoholic drink, quite unpopular we heard (and brought out by the owner for us to try), contains Ginseng and Hawthorn berry among others.

Mum chatting with the owner/boss :D

Take the address down (click on the pic to enlarge)!! And when you get ready to dine (there), casually drop my name. :P

NADRI KOREAN BBQ RESTAURANT: TANJONG PAGAR MRT EXIT A,when you come out, walk straight ahead on the narrow road towards the shop houses, and it's the first shop on your left. TEL: 6324 3009
I must say, I believe a way to my heart would be through my palate :).
PS: I had a little indigestion and tummy ache the next morning, so I highly suggest drinking loads of water or alcoholic beverages (like Soju! or the others offered) when having your meal! It worked the previous time. This time, I only focused on the wonderful food. Hehe. I do not regret it.
